Successful 20'th Annual Severe Weather Symposium:

Metclub

On Friday March 4, 2016, The Meteorology Club held its annual Severe Weather Symposium. This year was the 20’Th time that the Symposium was held and it drew a large crowd to the US Bank Theater at The Ohio State Student Union. There were numerous alumni in attendance and many of the presentations were made by previous students of The Ohio State University Atmospheric Sciences Program. Very diverse aspects of Severe Weather was presented from how to best take pictures of severe weather, hurricane wind intensity index, tornado outbreaks, snow forecasting, flooding forecasting, TV meteorology accuracy and last but not least a guide on how to become a weather broadcaster. All together a very interesting day of great presentations and a great tribute to the Alumni of the program. There is now a Facebook Group for the OSU ASP Alumni as well.
