“Climate change poses a major challenge to Ohio agriculture, which is why the new State Climate Office of Ohio (SCOO), a team of experts from the Department of Geography and the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center, has been created. Headed by Bryan Mark, state climatologist and professor of geography, the SCOO team serves as the steward of climate data and education, research and outreach for the people of Ohio. The article appears in ASCENT. Jim DeGrand and Aaron Wilson are also active in SCOO.
